Changing default Label text.

Hi, does anyone know how to change the default label text for items e.g. headers in X15.

 

I want the label for headers to be lintel's by default, so on a framing plan it will automatically say 45x140 x 900 mm Lintel x 2.. instead of headers.

 

I don't want to go through every header label and change the text manually.

You will find lintel defaults in your window and door defaults in the Framing tab labeled as "Header Label Defaults".

Headers are framing in Chief-speak, while lintels are trim.  
 

Are you wanting what Chief terms headers, called out in labels as "lintels" instead?

Edit > Default Settings > Doors > Exterior Door

 

On the Framing tab, click Header Label Defaults, enter whatever you want. Place new door, frame wall.

Methinks the OP wants it auto-labeled.

 

It's like Americans have names for things, hoods and trunks of cars come to mind, and the Brits call those bonnets and boots.

 

Perhaps a feature request is needed, some kind of global terms replacement.

 

Like, even in the specs and dialog tabs.  Substitute "column" for "post,"  swap out "lookout" for "outrigger."  
 

How about other languages?  Should there be a Japanese version of Chief?
