You may want to be a bit more specific...or a lot more specific would be even better. A more detailed description of what you are trying to accomplish with some sketches or images would go a long ways.

Are you having problems just building the gambrel roof?  If so, then all you need to do is setup a second pitch on the walls.  Here is a video that might help:

As for the trusses, you can just build gambrel trusses the same way you would build any other trusses.  You have to draw the first one and then you can use the multiple copy tool to get the others.  Here is a whole tech series on trusses that might help:

And if you are having more specific problems, you will need to clarify your questions (as suggested by Robert).

Chief has no "automatic" gusset plates.  Take a section, do a CAD detail from view, draw your gusset polylines, copy them, paste in place back in the live section, select each and make a 3D solid with whatever thickness you do for the gussets, then mirror around the rafter bent, and copy down the line.

Then ask your building inspector whether he'll permit you to build this without an engineer seal on the prints.

Thanks, for the replies. This is for a set of "as-builts." From there I will draw up my proposed & send them to my engineer. I'm converting a 2 car garage into an in-law suite. Just needed to figure out how to draw the original structure. Thanks again, I will sit down later & try your suggestions.
