myrtsbnye
Wondering if there is a way to clip the exterior or even the interior walls horizontally in the orthographic floor overview? For example, would it be possible to show the exterior walls at, say, 3' tall? I know you can hide the exterior walls facing the camera, Just wondering if we can show the walls shorter instead (included the windows and doors) Thanks for any help. Doug_N
Doll house views work that way, as do the model slicer tools.
Gawdzira
If the slider does not give you the view you are after, you can temporarily throw the walls to hide on a different layer. You may need to select the windows and other items in that wall and do the same
Alaskan_Son
As Doug mentions, you can use the Cross Section Slider. The catch here is that you just can't use it in the Vector View rendering mode. You have to switch to a different Rendering Technique.
myrtsbnye
Thanks Doug, the cross section slider works great. Thanks everyone for responding.
Chrisb222
Just to add, in X12 if you want to use the Cross Section Slider with a Vector View appearance, you can use Watercolor technique with Line Drawing on Top w/settings as shown: Then Toggle Textures OFF. With X14 and later, you can also do similar with Standard render, but it appears you cannot toggle the textures off. Not sure why that tool was removed, I never noticed until now.
