country
Is it possible to export a plan to Sketchup? My client's Interior Designer uses Sketchup and it would be much easier and cheaper if she didn't have to redraw the entire renovation plan. Michael_Gia
Export as 3DS in the file menu. nevermind, I thought you meant model. she can always import the pdf or dwg version of the plan from Chief.

Kbird1
The Designer would need Chief ( or Home Designer Pro ) if She want's 2D and 3D I think? but I admit I am not a Sketchup Owner, but I don't think a .3DS Model will give you a working 3D model in SU does it? it's more like a CA symbol isn't it? or a 2D floor Plan automatically either for that matter , but since I have only ever had the Free SU ( up to 2017) I maybe wrong on what SU Pro and newer Versions can do.... Gene may know he uses SU a lot.. @GeneDavis Mick.
country
I think she wants the plan view so she can have dimensions but I can check. I really appreciate the input! Thank you.
GeneDavis
Chief can export 3D in many formats, and SU Pro can import everything Chief can do. Export your model every 3D way you can. You need to be in a 3D view to do so. Send your colleague all the files, so they can find the one which works best for their need. I'm a cheapster and use free SU Make 2017. It'll only import a Collada .dae file, but it suits my needs. Edit: there is a 2-year-old video on YouTube showing a Chief file exported and then imported into SU.
