simonas
Now lets say I need this horizontal wall to stick out 20mm. If I get any closer it connects to a clean corner. Maybe I missing something here. Is there a way to control this like we have with cabinets for autofillers?
Dennis_Gavin
Dimension it then select it and click on the dimension and set it to what you want. I think that will work.

Kbird1
is it snapping to the grid (in plan view), what is your setting for that? cant you move the wall holding the Ctrl key to disable snaps ?
Dennis_Gavin
I get that also so I did a control drag and it seemed to work. I did put in a wall break first. Don't know if htat makes any difference. Also I use imperial.

simonas
Make the stub wall a different wall definition: wall.png I have defined one of two walls with a different wall type. Still no luck. Can you please give me step by step procedure how you made it.? Thanks.
rlackore
Draw the wall intersection with a long bump out to prevent the intersection from cleaning up (snapping). Break the horizontal wall at the intersection. Select the bump out wall, open the Wall Specification dbx, open the Wall Type Definitions, make a copy. Select the bump out wall and resize it using your favorite method (I'm imperial, so 3/4" is about 20mm). Clean up the wall intersection with the Edit Wall Layer Intersections tool. From the image in your first post the horizontal wall appears to have the finish layer wrapped around the end of the wall. How do you accomplish this? glennw
The wall board will wrap around the end of the wall if the wall is contained within a room.
simonas
It works! Robert thank you for your help. And wrap around the end of the wall should be allowed on exterior walls as well. Chief please fix this! If I have this exterior wall here. How do I wrap it around?

How do I wrap it around? Using Glen's suggestion, I guess you could enclose it with invisible walls.
simonas
I was hoping no one will suggest this this should be easier to accomplish. Chief wilja:) "Edit Wall Layer Intersections" should have this feature. but now it works only on "intersections"
