SteveNovato
I saw the attached CA ad in a trade magazine. I have highlighted a 3d roof view that shows the individual components of the roof. Is this feature only in X13, or is available in other versions? If it is not exclusive to X13...how? Thanks, Steve
robdyck
If I'm not mistaken, that's not a feature. That model will have been "manipulated" by pulling the roof plane away from it's proper edge. Then, additional roof planes will have been modeled to the left to show as the underlayment and the seathing.
SteveNovato
Thanks for the info Rob. I won't rest until I can replicate this!
Chopsaw
You can do that with wall layers now in X13 but to show it on a roof I think is more than just a little bit misleading.

Transparent symbols I believe was the method. And or Wall Material Regions for the framing layer reveal.
Chopsaw
Something like this perhaps and maybe a little insulation and vapor barrier added as well.

True but wouldn't it be cool if you could set that up and then just turn it off until your client asked what is inside the walls.
