Joe_Carrick
I have a older Laptop with a GTX_880M. It won't properly run X13 so I would either upgrade the GPU or get a new Laptop. What's involved with updating and if it's possible is it worth the cost?
jmsisco
What kind of laptop is it? Some may not be able to be upgraded.

ASUS GX74 But I just found a new 17" ASUS with an RTX3050ti for $799. The GPU sells for $450 so upgrading probably isn't worth the risk.
Kbird1
Most laptops don't have replaceable GPUs , they are Chips soldered to the Motherboard. I would consider looking at a laptop with a 3070/3070ti Joe , laptops GPU are generally much lower powered than their Desktop counterparts, eg in the 60-80% performance range. M. MarkMc
My last laptop was a Sager DTOP replacement (Clevo) which was upgradeable, no soldering. It had a 980M but the sockets were changed so could not upgrade even to 1000 series without hacking the board and the case. Bought new and gave to nephew.
