MTL-Homes
Just downloaded x13 and found current video card isn't up to snuff. Not really wanting to buy a new desktop just yet. Attaching specs for existing desktop. Anyone have a recommendations for a new graphics card. Hoping not to spend a boatload of money if possible since I will probably get a new machine with in the next year or so. Thanks , Chuck
Chopsaw
It may not be your video card. What card do you have installed ? I upgraded to a GTX 1070 a few years ago and it does the basic rendering in X13 as it did in X12 but not the Real Time Raytracing. It is also possible that you just need to update windows 10 as some of the older versions do not support a high enough Shader Model. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03146/identifying-the-shader-model-of-your-graphics-card-in-windows.html

I'd bet against this one Chop. If you know a way to keep Windows 10 from updating itself I would love to hear it. Aside from being marooned on a deserted island if you are connected to the web you will be upgraded whether you like it or not.

MTL-Homes
So I just added Signature with my computer specs. Updated Graphics Card with Latest Driver from NVIDIA Checked Shader Model with Direct X Caps viewer which indicates 6.5 Updated Windows. Still no graphics in X13 so back to wondering if a graphics card update is appropriate.

Disabling automatic updates using the Local Group Policy Editor worked like a charm. I did not know you could do that there and I'm not a fan of mucking about in the Registry.
