JKHumboldt
My floor joists are hung with ledger from foundation wall. How do I show the hangers in plan view? Do I have to draw individual polylines? I'm using CAX12
GeneDavis
Yes. Drew one. Put it on a useful layer if you want, otherwise it will be on CAD, Floor Framing. Copy and paste as needed. For X all in a row, drag-space-copy is fast and easy. 1
JKHumboldt
Yes I did a forum search. And Gene I'll try drag-space-copy but I'm not sure what you mean. I've been wondering why the program does'nt have a way of specifying joist hangers since hang joists with ledger has been checked. Thank you for responding! joey_martin
The joist hangers are in the Simpson library.

There are some things in the program that are there just for the "Materials List". Not everything is displayed in the plan as graphics. Some things like joist hangers would just be shown in a CAD Detail - which you have to create (add the Hangers from the Library)
Chrisb222
Just curious In plan views, is it correct to show an actual drawing of the hanger? Or is there a "symbol" like for electrical receptacles re:
joey_martin
You can assign it any symbol you like, for speeds sake, I drag them in and go.
JKHumboldt
I drew an "L", then used mutiple copy tool and dragged across plan as Gene suggested. It woorked great. Thanks for all the ideas!
