StarHome
Our truss designers use a program called "True Build" truss design program from Eagle Metal. When my competitor (who also uses Chief Architect) sends a print to our designers in a PDF format they are able to do a Cad Overlay into the True Build program, but when I send them a print in a PDF format they cannot do a CAD Overlay. The All Star_Kevin & Lisa Yoder prints are the ones that do NOT work, & the FREEDOM_Loren Jones House are the ones that DO work. StarHome
It is downloaded into the truss program and that enables them to trace the walls and roof lines etc.

StarHome
Not sure how to answer that, except "True Build" said it has to something to do with how we save the layers.

joey_martin
Try using the PDF printer included in Chief Architect. Select it from the drop down menu.
StarHome
I am sorry that is what I use to save it. Then when I open it it opens in PDF Exchange editor.

See if PDF Editor Allows you to "Flatten" the layers...... (makes it non-editable basically) OR maybe it is the opposite problem and 1 is flatten and the other not ? found Online...... To flatten an image open it in Microsoft Edge, select print, set the printer to Microsoft print to PDF and save a copy to your HD. I have found that this method does not work with Acrobat reader or internet explorer. OR from the US Court System..... Follow the steps below to "flatten" a completed PDF fillable form: 1. Open fillable form. 2. Add appropriate data. 3. Right click on document and select Print. NOTE: if document opens in Adobe, Select File and select Print. 4. Select the PDF printer. (The Adobe PDF printer is installed automatically with Adobe Acrobat. Numerous free PDF printer drivers are available for download from the Internet.) 5. Select OK. 6. Specify location to save the printed, "flattened" version of the form. 7. Select Save.
