CaptainKelly
I am trying to draw a Pergola for a costumer, can anyone give advice as to the easiest way to do this.
dshall
I use polyline solids drawn in either plan view or elevation and then it is best to convert those to symbols especially if you have decorative ends.

DRAWZILLA
I use the invisible rail deck tool on the 2nd floor. You can adjust all the settings and the posts are automatic if set up correctly. Create a 2nd floor if you don't have one.

This is typically the correct answer from what I've found. You can use general framing members and multiple-copy them too but the polylines give more control
Kbird1
The Framing Tools do work , the disadvantage is the different "elements" can't be saved to the library for re-use like a PL Solid can. ( unless something changed in X12? ) M.
