dskogg
I do a lot of additions/remodel designs, i think the new reference model will be good to show clients.

HumbleChief
Yes, very cool but would be SO much cooler with more reference display options other than just standard and glass house.
HumbleChief
Here's a short version Gene. Can't seem to get the line detail that David is showing above...
dskogg
What I did was make current 3D design show in glass house first and turn up transparency and then add as built in standard view. if you start with standard view I couldn’t change it to glass house once I loaded as built model.

I agree.. I wish ca had the line drawing option.. and be able to add shadows like sketchup.. I started long ago with pencil and vellum.. I have come a longgggggg way.. I remember doing perspectives with vanishing points etc.. anyways I love the crossed lines on this view.. just like the old days

Closed it up and it's only an experiment... Just something I would never in my business real world. If there was more control I would like to keep the as built as standard view and the proposed as something with more options, like line drawing or almost anything other than glass house which I never use... Looks good.. seems like one has to decide which model is glass depending on what looks better.. my addition engulfed existing house so I had to make new glass and old standard.. with yours the addition is added on.
HumbleChief
The thing about Chief over the many years I've been with them is they seldom refine features much and if it starts out unusable it can remain that way for many many years. Maybe an exception here? Would you actually use this in a presentation?

dskogg
Well the first plan you open up can be in standard or glass option.. same with 2nd plan you add .. only I found if you opened first plan in standard view it had to stay that way. does this make sense?
