Mezzanine

Hello,

I started a drawing of a shop that will have a mezzanine.  After looking on this chat it seems that the only way to do that is build another floor and label the non mezzanine areas as open to below.  I did this but now there is a line in the elevation drawing at the height were the "imaginary" floor of the second level is.  Is there a way to get rid of this line? and also is there a simpler way to build a mezzanine?  Appreciate your help!

Have a play with a room designated as "Shelf Ceiling" - a room with a lower ceiling than the room that contains it - a mezzanine.

I use a landing for my mezzanine in most projects. Easy quick and it behaves, lol.

You need to label the walls "Balloon thru ceiling above" and rebuild the wall framing is all....

Thank you much for the replies!! I used the landing tip in this plan but I think all 3 of the tips I will use in the future.  This chieftalk to me is very valuable in learning the program, thanks to all the chiefs for their patience and knowledge!!
