mfraley
I attempted to upload a Chief file and got the first error message (error1)...so I uploaded the suggested upgrade. I then attempted to open the file again and got the second error message (error2). What could be the reason for this?
Alaskan_Son
I'm just guessing, but I'm relatively certain you're probably trying to open a file that was saved in X9.

johnny
I am fairly sure Alaska is correct - but, if you do happen to own X9 and still getting the error you need to re-associate your .plan files to open via X9 and not X8. You can do a basic google search on getting this done and should be easy for you to fix. ....again assuming for a moment you own X9 or have that available to upgrade via SSA. DavidJPotter
What the message actually says is that you have a version of X8 which has not yet been updated to the latest patch (newer is newer is all it means). If it had meant X9 it would have said so but it merely said that the file was created by an updated X8 relative to the one you obviously have which is not updated. Check that out by checking to see if you are in fact running the latest version of X8. (18.3.2.2x64) DJP
