cheif3013
I am trying to make a 'T' shaped stair case, however the walk through provided works fine for the type of stair case demonstrated. My "T" stair case has two lower legs leading to a landing with 1 upper leg leading to the second floor. When I make the 1 lower, 1 upper and then run the landing tool it creates the stairs as expected with landing. When I adding the second lower leg it creates a multisided staircase (despite there being walls in the way) - see "Capture2.png". If I shrink the width of the stair case it will draw correctly but complains that they do not have matching width - see "Capture1.png" What am I missing? glennw
Uncheck "Allow Rap" (at the bottom of the Style panel).
BrownTiger
Like Glen said, Chief Architect does automatically wrap around stairs, you need to uncheck "allow wrap", this setting is more for an exterior deck.
cheif3013
I see references to the "Allow Wrap" checkbox in the documentation, however I do not have that as an option on my Style menu
Chopsaw
Looks like there are a lot of things missing from your DBX and your chief icon is Purple. What version are you running?
glennw
Try using a Box, Polysolid, slab, etc, instead of the Landing
BrownTiger
Purples icons are for ChiefArchitect Interiors.
cheif3013
I am running Interiors - the link referenced here shows it applies to Interiors.
Alaskan_Son
Without seeing the plan, it's hard to tell fro sure, but if you can't get it figured out otherwise, try changing the overall height of one of the stair sections by maybe just 1/16" so that the 2 sections are no longer identical. They have to be identical in order to automatically wrap.
cheif3013
On the landing I unchecked "Auto Adjust Height When Connected To Stairs" and the issue went away. Thanks for the suggestions
Dermot
You are using Home Designer Interiors. HD Interiors does not allow you to control the stair wrapping directly. Turning off auto height appears to give you a reasonable work-around though. The video you linked to only applies to Chief Architect Premier or Chief Architect Interiors. You will probably get better help using the Home Designer web site and forum: https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/ https://hometalk.chiefarchitect.com/
