Rich_Winsor
I haven't had much occasion to use the sidewalk tools, so I was disgruntled to discover that Chief apparently has no provisions for making control or expansion joints in sidewalks and slabs. I don't know anybody who pours concrete without such joints and it's little touches like this that add believability and realism to a scene. This is what a standard 48" wide sidewalk looks like in our neck of the woods. Not just an unbroken expanse of concrete. To accomplish this effect I had to make an array out of 50 2' x 2' segments of sidewalk. And Lord help you if there is a driveway involved. tommy1
I never show the expansion joints in 3D or plan views. I have a cad detail for flatwork that specifies this information that is used in the layout.
Joe_Carrick
You could use a Tile Material to emulate the joints.
rlackore
Here's a texture I use - it's not perfect, but isn't horrible. sidewalk.calibzterrain.calibz
