Designer100
Where can I get a Microwave Hood vent for 36in electrical range?
Joe_Carrick
AFAIK there's no such appliance. I'm not talking about a symbol - that could be done but I don't know of any appliance manufacturer that makes a 36" over the range microwave. 30" is the max.
MarkMc
GE has a filler kit for some of it's OTR microwaves-maybe some others do as well. http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-specs/PVM9179SKSS I've never used it and never will- none have sufficient CFM for a 36" range. joey_martin
I have not seen that size either. Best bet is to use a 30" w/ 3" decorative fillers on each side. Be careful not to use the pull-out fillers though...they dont have sides and don't work well next to an upper microwave.
Alaskan_Son
I say this with a lot of personal and professional experience and expertise on the matter... I would strongly recommend against using a 30" microhood over a 36" range even with the special trim kit or decorative fillers. Those microwaves are typically terrible exhaust appliances as it is and your range hood should really be at least as wide as the appliance it is serving (ideally it should be even wider). So...you would then be using one of the cheapest and lowest quality exhaust fans you could buy and then undersizing it.

RobUSMC
For fire safety and hood should extend 3" past the edge of the cooking surface so there will not be combustible materials (fillers) over the heat source. For a 36" cooktop (especially gas) we will install a 42" hood. 39" at a bare minimum. However with a MW your catch
