Perhaps I'm missing something, but I would have thought that the easiest way to do this is to build a second floor with the ceiling height set at the height of the knee walls, and with flat ceiling over this room unchecked?

If you just hit copy, the copy is created "in place". You can select the copied item and move the copy away from the original.

I have found in the past that moving the connection point of the room divider walls away from the actual corner (By adding a small "u" shaped section of wall near the corner) gets rid of this problem, and does not interfere with the room dimensioning.

I find that the easiest way to prevent this appearance is to kink the invisible room divider so that it does not meet the adjoining wall on the corner. Just a small L shaped diversion in the wall does the trick. It does not effect the room dimensioning unless it happens to be in the exact centre of the room.

This is as close as I could get using an arched top door opening and an arched top door from Bonus Catalogue Doors Number 2. Glass and trim around hi-lite with polyline solids.

I find that the easiest way to create a "coffered" ceiling is to make a ceiling hole Put a moulding around it, which consists of a cornice with an upstand attached to give the correct height of the coffer, then add a ceiling plane over the top. I added some of these cornices, with upstands, to the forum for sharing items at the end of last week. The cornices are to Australian shapes, but may be useful, and it is a very easy way to add ceiling coffers that gives good 3D presentation.

Here are some cornice moldings which I hope may be useful to someone. There are straightforward cornice moldings; cornice moldings with a downstand for use in forming recessed ceilings; and ditto with a light tray added. Cheers. Cornice Moldings.calibz
