  1. I had a client ask me to show them the tile they chose in a brickwork pattern. They chose DalTile> Stafford Place> Truffle Field SD93. I don't know how to make that into a "Brickwork" pattern. Can anyone help me out? Attached is the look they are wanting.
  2. Arqrivas, If you don't get any responses here, try posting this question in the Q&A section of this forum. Good luck!
  3. I completely missed this! I will shoot you an email. Joey, thank you for sending him my way. I appreciate it.
  4. Does anyone in, or around Fort Wayne Indiana Offer training at a reasonable price? I have X7. I need a little bit of training on Roofs, and A LOT of training on terrain, and building foundations and slabs. I'm sure their are other things I need to work on. Just can't think of them at the moment.
  5. David, Thank you for taking time out of your day to do that video for me. I haven't used "Auto Build Roofs" since I switched from Home Designer Pro 9.0 to Chief Architect Premier. I also avoid using the "Bay Window" tools. I find them finicky for a lack of a better word. That was a curved wall with 5 windows in it. I did however find your idea of copying the curved walls into a different plan and then using the "Auto Build Roof" tool to generate the roof, and then copying then roof planes back to the original plan very helpful. I did have the same problem copying the curved wall into a new plan... That baffles my mind. Thank you again for your time. Ray, I thought I replied back to you last night but I guess I didn't hit "Post". I set the Fascia height to match the 2nd floor, and then copied the Ridge height and just accepted the pitch. Mark, That you for the time you put into this. I really appreciate it. Scott, I met with the builder today and we sat down for a few hours and hammered with plan out. He basically told me how he would build the roof and I just followed his lead. In the end we came out with what you pretty much had. Thank you for your time. Mthd97, I am the client! LOL I am going for a Craftsman style kind of look. I wanted something laid back and traditional, and my significant other wanted something elaborate and grand. Guess who won? LOL I'm going to start on the exterior this evening and see what I come up with. I'm worried that it's going to look like a mixture of styles. To me it already does. But I was told to leave it the way it was. In my relationship, I just give in. That way I don't have to listen to it in the end! LOL In closing, thank you to all who took the time to help me on this. I really appreciate you time and efforts to help me come up with a solution. Have a great Sunday Everyone!!! -Rosco
  6. Hey Greg, Thanks for helping, however, I don't think Auto Roof's is the answer in this case. LOL Here is what I'm trying to achieve, the video is a little better quality...
  7. Ray, I got that part sort of figured out. Thank you!. It makes the pitch 5 13/16/12 instead of 4/12, but I can live with that. Now the other problems... Not sure I'm going to have any hair left... LOL
  8. Well I thought I had this plan under control. Now I'm having issues with a few areas above my garage in my bonus room, and I can't seem to get the roof correct over my two area's in the back of my house. I will attach a link to a video of what my roof should look like, and some pics of what I want to accomplish. http://www.screencast.com/t/nleY4TVXj2iQ If it's not to much trouble, please tell me what I'm doing wrong, or what I need to do, to avoid these issues in the future. I've got nothing better to do on a Saturday evening then to iron out theses issues. Thank you for your time! Ross & Chase Dietzer Residence.zip
  9. Why don't I ever pay attention? Alan got to it first. LOL
  10. I never use the material sprayer to apply siding, I either set the default style of siding I want or do what I just explained above and click Library Materials and instead of Plan Materials, and just navigate to what I want. Good Luck!
  11. Double Click on the wall, open the "materials" tab in the DBX, select "Exterior Lower Wall Surface" then click select material. Click plan materials, then click "Use Default" at the top of the list. That should make the wall's materials default back to normal.
  12. PLEASE CHIEF MAKES THE STAIR TOOL AND FOUNDATIONS YOUR NEXT PRIORITY!!!!!
  13. The only complaint I have with X7 is when I click "print" it takes forever for the print dbx box to open. Then print feature was a little slow. Other than that i have to say X7 is my favorite release thus far. Just my 2₵
  14. oh shoot. you're using X6. Let me save it in X6 and post it again. You'll need to check the framing of your roof planes. That seems to be messed up and that's what's causing your soffit issues after "Joining Roof Planes".
  15. I went ahead and "Joined" your roof planes for you, there are a few other things that need attention in your plan, however I have to run. I can look at it a little more later if you'd like PM me if you have specific questions and I'll see if I can help. The plan looks pretty good so far. mar 25 Roof Joined.plan
  16. Oops! I realize I copied and pasted the wrong video link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix5Y4OAfQQQ Here is the one I meant to post.
  17. Hey buddy, looks to me like you haven't "joined" your roof planes. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR8vwRQ1L2g and you should be on the right track!
  18. I messed around with it in X6 and I can't seem to get it to go away. I've had this problem in the past with the room divider walls, but whenever I pulled them back and then reconnected them, my problem went away. That doesn't seem to be the case in your plan. Hmm. I'm very obsessive compulsive about my plans and this would bug me to no end. Maybe submit the plan to tech support if no one figures it out? Also you seem to have a little rectangular hole in your ceiling. Maybe someone could fuss with that a bit. Good Luck Todd! I hope you get it figured out.
  19. Hmm, I'm not getting that on my end. Let me poke around a bit.
  20. On the second floor, in the area you want to be "Open To Below" double click in the area you want open to below and change the Room Type to "Open To Below" Open to Below Test.plan
  21. Does anyone have a stamped concrete texture file they like to use? I attached a photo of what we commonly use.
  22. Try this... go to "Preferences", click on "Render", then make sure "reflections in mirrors" under preview options is checked.
  23. Larry beat me to it! LOL
