  1. Well, we did Panama back in 2009...... before they did the small addition, it certainly deserves a return trip! Speaking of trips, we just returned from Kenya in February before the sh*t hit the fan. We got lucky with that one. Baraca the Black Rhino and I became friends....
  2. THIRTEEN!!!!! I remember when it was 9. I am up to 7 know with the latest 2 weeks ago.
  3. I remember back in 1981-1983 recession, I told a guy I would work for free, it got me in the door, did some work for pay and somehow I managed to get through that recession. And then there was the 89-95 recession, no work except for helping my client frame a remodel I drew for him. I did learn how to play bridge since there was no work. And then the 2008-2013 recession, that was not too bad. Which leads us to the possible 2020 recession. I say it will be over soon. That guy in the big house will turn this around and get us to our retirement years........ and then we will jump in a plane and visit the Great Glenn Woodward in Australia. Or maybe take a cruise up to Alaska and visit The Alaskan Son. But if the guy in the big house does not turn this around, I will jump in the car and visit Perry in Corona California, a mere 90 minute drive.
  4. Steve, I copied a wall from second floor and pasted in place in attic above and checked ROOF CUTS WALL AT BOTTOM. No manual editing of wall. I did not find a big issue with this method. Let me know what you think.
  5. Point to Point tool designation highlight see pic, thanks,
  6. I swear, if there is anybody that knows as much as the Alaskan knows, I would like to meet him. Thanks Michael for your input.
  7. You did mention it yesterday. You are talking about HEADER LINES. They are in line with the stud wall. I am talking about the DOOR/OPENING dashed lines which are IN LINE WITH THE WALL FINISH. So they are different lines in different locations. Yes, your method works if you do not care if those lines that you are using are not in line with the wall finish.
  8. Thanks again for coming to the workshop. This was a great workshop for me. Ref. sets, a little help with stairs, a good terrain question with hopefully a solution for Melissa a the Style Pallets are awesome. Thank you Steve for some insight into the style pallets!!! I still don't get the DOOR OPENING lines.
  9. I just sent out the invite, if you did not get one, If you would like to attend...... please please please send me an email to. dscotthall AT mac DOT com (this makes it so much easier for me vs you responding in this thread. )

  11. Thanks for clarifying ..... thank goodness I have a Mac .... I know very little about computers.
  12. WOW there cowboy..... we do it with computer audio. My phone can't handle that many folks ...... answer the email on your computer, click a few buttons and you should be able to hear the audio with your computer and you should be able to talk thru your computer. Mick, am I missing something? I have done this many times and somehow the folks on the other end figure it out very quickly.

  16. Hi Guys, We are good to go. Our workshop is tomorrow/Friday 3:00 pst, 5:00 CST, 6:00 EST.... and (Saturday 9:00 am Aussie time). I will send out the invites 15 minutes early so you can get set up. We will start promptly on time. If you have my email invite, you can join at anytime and leave anytime. We will try to keep it under 2 hours. I would like to start off sharing my experiences with the new plan view sets and ref sets. It seems like whenever I stick my nose out there, someone comes up with some great suggestions. After that I hope to share the screen with anybody who wants to share what they know of if they have any issues. We have some heavy hitters joining us so there should be plenty of good info. If you would like to attend...... please please please send me an email to. dscotthall AT mac DOT com (this makes it so much easier for me vs you responding in this thread. ) See you then....
  17. What happens is when it is checked.... the room above will control the terrain elevation.
  18. FYI, a birdie told me what I was doing wrong. I had FLATTEN PAD checked. Uncheck and my TERRAIN ELEVATION behaves.
  19. Thanks guys for your interest.... I am keeping track of all the email.
  20. it does not work on my mystery plan... the only change was extending the driveway into the garage..... it is the garage that is effecting the terrain.... not sure if I have ever seen this into the garage...
  21. I used an elevation region and it works fine...... there must be something in my other plan that is not working correctly.
  22. I like that solution, that is what I was trying to do with a TERRAIN REGION and it was a mess... not sure what I am doing wrong.
