  1. Perry I notice that also I just thought I was fogetting to check those boxes, Joe I will see if I can get them into a cad detail window
  2. very nice thank you, a friend of mine owns an awning company and with the framework you show it is just like they do it. thanks again
  3. looks like they have to be unblocked and blocked again, I notice that a lot of text doesn't have auto height and auto width check under options so that could be what the problem is when I exported them, try to unblock and select the txt go to options size and select auto height and suto width and see what happens
  4. yes Mick I am using x7 beta, I will see what happens in x6 x6 pitch.calibz
  5. Sherry I do understand wanting it to be live which would be great this is why I draw my pitch block the way I do all of the angles are to the pitch of the roof so it doesn't take much to see that the block and roof pitch are different, then I just select the roof of go to my roof layout plan which has the pitch label on as per Scott and select the new pitch block and paste it to the plan, yes it would be nice to have it live
  6. Here is one that I have I also have it in an arial font, glad to share PITCH LIB.calibz arial font pitch txt.calibz
  7. I think I need a big lesson on marco's if they save a lot of time
  8. Sherry great ? because chief doesn't know what we are drawing in cad detail that is where I use my txt blocks also just like the picture above they are the same txt block
  9. I agree about errors I will do this on a couple plans and see the feed back I get
  10. Leslie you can always make your own, like Curt says there should be some in the lib
  11. Scott I forgot about the label in elevation thanks, I always use it in my roof plans I will try it, I know around here the guys like to see the pitch like in the attached picture
  12. Scott without see the plan do you have follow steps checked someplace I don't think you need to have any of that check
  13. I have made one left and one right for every pitch or when I did a new pitch I would draw the cad line I wanted put in my text and block it save it to a new lib call roof pitches then when ever I need that particular one just open lib select and paste doesn't take to long to make them of make them on the fly block them and add to the your lib under pitches
  14. Joey sending them any thoughts by anyone helps them, there was a lot of discussions on the new icons during beta testing
  15. I always print to pdf first and never had a problem or crash
  16. Donna I use walls with stone on them usually 2X4 then put a fireplace behind there and place a doorway to see the fireplace at that point I raise the fireplace and doorway to where I want if it has a raised hearth, I make my hearth and mantle using the slab tool hearth with stone on it, if I want to do a bumpout I use exterior walls and where I want the stone on the inside I break the walls to where I want to stone the stone inside and change that wall to a stone wall, if you don't want it to go to the ceiling then use a pony wall with the different types
  17. Nick post a picture or the plan so we can see what you mean
  18. Shows in mine after I fillowed mikes instruction
  19. Ken haven't seen that what version are you using
  20. maybe put a large shadow markings across the file stating preliminary plans not for construction, where I live they have to have final plans to submit for approval by the third party inspection agency, also take a lot of important information out of it strip it, no floor joist sizes, beam sizes, clg jst, rafters, and I like the idea of turning on all the layers and send a dxf file
  21. Mike that was it that did the trick worked flawlessly, thanks for looking
