  1. One thing missing is the ability to customize call outs with line breaks, arrows etc.
  2. Yeah that threw me for a minute - check for an upgrade button...
  3. Oh My God - it works with Roofs too. Been chasing roof nodes for years....
  4. GREAT video but I have issues with your videos. You keep saying you want to keep your videos short, and not be a tutorial and blah blah blah - but they are never LONG enough for me! Please keep posting and the longer the better for me. Thanks very much for your time and effort!!!
  5. I know the things that seem so little are HUGE. First thing I did was get rid of all those crazy lines I never use and move the one I do use to the top of the list...and removing redundant lines HUGE.
  6. Yeah Jenna just went on and on and on - line management tool? Simple but huge. Multi reference floor and elevations? So many applications. Fixed the PDF auto update thingy...Floor assemblies...Pony walls for stairs, glass walls, shower doors, the list really is way too long to cover.
  7. 20 minutes of some really amazing new features.... Diving in...
  8. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/whats-new/
  9. Always appreciate your vids Rene. Learn something every time...
  10. The reason I post the videos is because I've done it all.
  11. Been there done that. You have to try and NOT let that happen. Maybe the vid above helps?
  12. I've done it all and maybe this created the problem?
  13. Hope this helps ...and the pitches are different as well
  14. Yeah might not exist but not sure why you want to use it? Is the task more complex than joining the roof planes? There are 3 different pitches which does complicate things but have never tried the approach you're undertaking. Can't suggest a method to help with that direction. Good luck. Curious, is that a technique that another program might use? New to me. Again good luck.
  15. Looks like he's trying to specify a roof edge's angle not the slope angle, but could be missing something...
  16. I just googled "join roof planes Chief Architect" and got these simple explanations.... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/724/joining-roof-planes.html
  17. Have you tried using the join roof plane tool? It will automatically join roof planes and figure all the appropriate angle for you. Select one roof plane edge, press the '2' key and select the other roof plane edge and see what happens. And yes it is considered a common courtesy on this forum to post your plan so people can truly help with your unique situation. Another note if the problem you are posting is truly about using Chief's roof join tool then you really need to watch some videos or check the help files as it's one of the basic Chief tools that you should learn yesterday....
  18. Funny, I'm thinking there's not a huge buzz here because most of the prolific posters are probably on the Beta team and already know what's new...as always hopes are high, expectations low....
  19. Thanks for the link. Seems like a decent post candidate for the announcement forum no? Looking forward to seeing what's new...
  20. Yeah they can be bit tricky but once you get the hang of them they make creating a terrain at least possible...
  21. Elevation regions are very flexible and can create various elevations and terrains. NOT useful for entering hard data but for the 'look' you need, quite useful. Plan is attached in case it's useful for someone.... ELEVATION LINES 2.plan
  22. Elevation regions are really very, very flexible for every elevation challenge.
  23. Thanks Mick, I knew there was an explanation even I could understand...
