If there's a secret to finding it I'd like to know too, but in the mean-time... seeing as you got the 'white wrench'... so as you say, it's not used, but in your defaults... and since it's called 'Roof Legend'... I'm thinking you might look carefully in all of your roof related defaults?  (You probably will say you did... but one never knows! :) )

I found out that I had to close and reopen the file after I disconnect all the things that were tied to that layer and then I was able to delete it.

  2. I'm pretty sure that this layer did not come in the box and that I must have made it at some point.
I want to delete it but I can find where it is connected in my defaults. Is there a way to track it so I can disconnect it and delete this layer? I have looked everywhere I can think of.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  3. I have the same printer;
I found it best for me to print layout to "Chief Architect Save As PDF" an then print on paper from there. You should be able to print it in all the different ways that you talked about though.
Usually when I have problems with not printing or printing partial pages it is because my computer isn't properly connecting and/or formatted to the printer. I will usually restart the printer and the plotter and that will straighten it out.

Having built with these, and living with one now, I'd recommend raising that shed roof a foot to give the hot vent more vertical clearance.

Yes, we thought of that but thank you for saying it and looking out for me!

I am aware of the stone and the yellow wall type. But aside from that, how did you do it?

I just made all the walls the same and used the eyedropper to paint the sections I want to be brick. Of course the bottom wall I didn't need to do the pony wall.
That was sort of cheating but it seem to have did the trick.
For the pony walls to work you have to get your materials and thickness right and you don't have that.

Where do you get that on with the pro version? I usually print it when It first comes out but I don't know how to get it now.

Just to be clear, I'm recommending something a little different than what Eric showed.  I'm talking about reading the Release Notes at every single upgrade (including simple version updates).  Take this current example...  We've had the option to select No Room Moldings since X11, but the separate options for Interior and Exterior weren't actually added with the upgrade to X12, they were snuck in with the 22.2.0.54 update...

I would encourage all of y'all to get into the habit of reading the Release Notes every single time you upgrade.  Take the time to make sure you understand each new feature that's been added or changed, and wherever relevant, test each one out.  I'd say it's probably the single best way to help make sure keep abreast of any changes.  Plus, it will also help you explore and discover little tools and capabilities you either never knew or forgot about.  It's seriously one of my favorite exercises in Chief.   I always love going through the Release Notes.

I always read through the release notes but remembering is another thing. lol

    Great advise though.
Just keeping an eye on the questions asked and answered in this forum you learn a lot. I like to encourage my friends to keep up with the forum also.

There is one in the library. Just type "vent" in the search window and it pulls up several. The wall vent is down the list a few.

Yea, been there, done that. Couldn't find one.

  10. I was looking for an exterior wall vent for a gas fireplace in the library and could not find one.
Please help if you know where I can find one. Otherwise I will make one but didn't want to go through the trouble if I don't have too.

Wow.. I learned something new today too.  I always did the old fashion way and edited the room molding polyline.

    Thanks Glen.

Yes, thats what I mean. I did the room molding polyline also. It's hard to keep up with the changes.

Open the dbx for the wall General>Options>No Room Moldings Interior.

    Thanks Glen!
Was that new with X11 or 12 because I don't remember that option being there.
