  1. When entering in the new dimension you want you can enter the feet or inches symbol ( ' or " ) Or - In the dimension defaults DBX, click on Number Style and toggle the Decimal Feet button. At that point all of the numbers in the temp dim box will automatically register as feet.
  2. If you delete it from the library, save and close the plan, then open the plan again the custom line style will not appear in the line DBX. it worked for me anyway.
  3. You have the exterior wall surface as "Glass - Standard".
  4. Do you have the "Edit Object Parts" button toggled? When you break the line and move one of the new line a new arrow will appear.
  5. You could also draw a cad circle and convert it to a "terrain feature". make sure you change the elevation to at least one to be able to see it
  6. I copied all of the items to the right. Made a "room" with invisible walls. That way you can control the height of the top beam. Also changed the roofs so the baseline was parallel to the stair run and adjusted the baseline angle to match the stairs. Your roof method works i just offered a different option. The top beam should solely be driven by the ceiling ht. of the room. Revised plan attached. Mark Roof Over Stair2.plan
  7. I looked at the plan and am having the same mulling issues. According to the Reference Manual Mulled windows must be in the same wall.Moving forward, I would remove the auto generated sill and add a molding polyline.
  8. Here is the file with the room showing CONCEPT3 - with room.plan
  9. The walls are listed as Attic Walls. Uncheck Attic wall, no locate, No room def. Then you have a Room !
  10. When doing exterior renderings toggle " Hide Terrain Intersected By Building " from the terrain DBX.
  11. You might get better results if you post the plan. It looks like a floor elevation or ceiling elevation issue.
  12. Good to know - But my deal is that the only temp dims that are showing up do so with the Plot Plan (aka Huge) dimensions strings. Using the new technique Scott described - Zoomed out - The Temp Dim String is in Plot Plat defaults. Zoomed In - The temp Dim String is in the current defaults.
  13. Thanks for giving it a shot ! None of my other plans are having this problem !
  14. Good Morning I am having a problem with the "temporary dimension" function. I was under the impression that the displayed temp dimensions match the currently selected annotation/default settings (i.e. 1/4" default, Plot plan default). In the attached plan the temp dims are only displaying the Plot Plan defaults. Is this a glitch or is there a way to control the display of the temp dims. Thanks Temp Dims.plan
  15. Select the table, then click on the "MOVE TO FRONT OF GROUP" button.
  16. Mick is correct - Uncheck "Single Wall Hole" in the Window DBX - Options tab. When the window layer is turned off the wall area btwn the windows will show up
  17. I never use the rotate plan tool for many reasons. Only the layout box is rotated once sent to layout - I want to maintain the orientation of the labels. The "Rotate Plan" tool and the Layout box rotation delivers the same result. Perhaps rotating the entire plan all floors would be the best bet.
  18. We have a plan that when sent to layout needs to be turned 90 clockwise. I had the room labels set to rotate with the plan and that was working fine, however when I have the standard area calc turned on the "room name" and "std area" seem to overlap each other. i tried to put the std area on its own text style and click ROTATE and unclick it - neither seemed to make any difference. i also tried to put a text box with a macro - which works but getting the text box in the right location for viewing in both 0(d) and 90(d) was not working Any good way to rectify this? Link to plan attached https://www.dropbox.com/s/8e2uhp3qjvefo05/ROOM%20LABEL.plan?dl=0
  19. Use the Spiral Staircase in the Library.
  20. No Problem ! Also, Did you create the gargoyle in CA or Sketchup? Mark <---
  21. Larry - Click "Default Wall Top Ht" in Wall DBX and rebuild if necessary P.S. Nice Eyebrow !
  22. No data in either of the two links......You might want to see a Doctor about those BFs
  23. I use the roof method - Works pretty well. And you can add shadow boards/frieze for more molding details. Attached is the plan I keep in my templates for a starting place when using rails in the plan Curved Rail.plan
  24. Thanks Joe ! This is the first time i have run in to this issue. On this particular project we are very "schedule heavy" and need the labels to function correctly ! I will send it to tech support !
  25. I am having problems getting the window labels to show up when mulled with a door.... - Labels show in DBX preview - I have selected component labels - The window labels show up when the Door Label layer is shown I would prefer to keep the unit mulled for rendering reasons. Any ideas? Thanks Plan attached..... Mark Labels.plan
