You first need to convert this to a symbol. Select the entire door and right click, click on 'Convert Selected to Symbol' at the bottom of the box. Once you have done this, select the symbol and then click on the symbol editing bottom at the bottom of your screen (usually 3rd in from the left). Use the rotation commands in the DBX. Check out this article from the Knowledge Base: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-01021/editing-a-symbol-s-rotation.html

Temporary (we hope) heads up downloading libraries
ericepv replied to MarkMc's topic in Symbols and Content
I've used Firefox for many years (on the latest version now) and have never encountered this problem. I just downloaded several libraries yesterday without issue, perhaps it's a Windows problem. -

Like Joe said, you won't see it in a Vector view, try standard or watercolor.

You'll need to import the image into your user library as a new material which you can he specify as a finish in the dialog box for your frame (or whatever you're using).

Seeking assistance on a project, need talented Chief Architect person.

What specifically are you trying to do? -
It is possible to get really nice results from the Ray Trace feature in Chief. I've found that the most important things to learn are materials (and material properties), lighting and Ray Trace settings. There's really no easy answer, you just need to take the time to learn each of the settings and experiment so you can see the effect on the final image. Below are a couple of examples that were modeled and rendered in Chief: A great place to start is with these videos - https://www.chiefarchitect.com/search/?default_tab=video&q=ray+tracing

Have you tried adjusting your default settings?

You should create separate layers for your lighting dimensions and any other dimensions that you want to keep separate and then turn on those layers in the applicable plan view set., To create a custom layer, click on 'New' tab at the bottom of your layer display options list.A box will come up in which you can enter the name of the new layer then click 'OK'. Once this is done, assign the dimension of your choice to the new layer. Hope this helps - Eric
