  1. Disto is the best but pricy. I baught the Sanley due to the fact that I do very little field measuring. I tested it against a Disto and the measurements were within a 1/16" goo enough for me.
  2. Lew I started drafting at my Father's side at 7yo. He had me do a measured plan of the first floor of our house. WOW that was 68 years ago. I could not draft like that myself today. Oh how times have changed.
  3. Thanks Perry. That was kind of a transition to Computer drawings. All Ink on Mylar with press on letters. I had pages of standard stuff and copied onto stickybacks. By the end I was pretty fast with ink. Then in 1984 the price of pc cad came down to a place I could afford. Almost $ 20,000.00 for software HP Vectra Digitizer and Pen Plotter. Never looked back. Started with VersaCad.
  4. Roll 3 (8).pdfRoll 3 (6).pdf[attachment=954: Lew here is how we did it in the old days, before the 80's
  5. I get really concerned at the divide between reality and the code designers. It's sort of like software upgrades. Hey it's time for a new code release let's make some changes.
  6. I don't think this is the Dan envisioned it going.
  7. Scott, I don't think they have their earphones turned up. BTW I think Joe is ahead of you on points. Are you still beating him at golf. Ron
  8. Reputation Points ??? Hey this is fun giving these even though they are as useless as teats on a bull. Great entertainment !!!!!!!! I'm really sorry Dan but they don't work like you intended.
  9. Man does Scott ever get any work don between, golf, posting, and his vids. Or does he have a large office with minions doing all the work.
  10. Dan, Not to be disrespectful, but, I would be more comfortable if you guys spent time on what many of us find inportant, PLEASE
  11. Gang and my new friend "P". I never did hear back from the troll under the bridge. I have it figured out. Some of the door stuff in chief still doesn't work well, like most interior doors I use that have locks have only one lock, not an interior and exterior lock. As I keep saying Chief needs architects to co-ordinate their software NOT software architects. In my way of thinking the word is a misnomer they are programmers not architects and in that lies many of the problems with chief.
  12. Hey I just added you as a friend
  13. You can count me as a friend
  14. I just looked at your info. You do not have any friends, now I know why. The bridge troll has more friends than You.
  15. No it isn't, it is the macro as I stated earlier It works just fine with auto labels. For some reason I'm not making myself clear.
  16. I just spent 30 minutes with support. It worked for Auto but not Specified labels. go figure. I know it must be something I'm doing wrong but we can't figure it out.
  17. I just sent it to Support. I don't know if this is my problem, I have the door label set as [%schedule_number%] macro. When I set to automatic labels the size does change.
  18. Yes I did that resized the hexigon but not the text
  19. Did that no change only schedule text. I want the label larger, but it does not change size
  20. Here is what I have Label is small
  21. Didn't work for me. I want the labels larger than shown. I changed the text size but nothing happened
  22. Thank you. now how do I make the label larger. I got the schedule text the way I want it but not the label
