here is a screen shot of both plans...exactly the same dimensions for walls as eric's...still does not work. There must be something else?
-
i lined up the main framing layer, but i have the build and dimension set to the exterior of sheathing...is this the problem?
-
Thanks eric, this works, i still do not know how you can do this and i can not. I tried a sample plan and the same thing happened? And also chief told me there was no solution other than polyline solids etc.
-
eric i did exactly what you did with no results...could i have different settings? I spoke to ca and they said to add a polyline solid to fix this.
-
thanks eric, i did what you said and pulled roof planes away and snapped back and nothing changed.

I have a vaulted main floor abutting a 2nd floor, i have selected roof cuts wall at bottom for upper wall but it still is showing siding and an opening for floor joists, what am i doing wrong?
-
Thanks Michael, if i pull back section symbols then they come off my print page, it would be easy enough to use a polyline but with a terrain that slopes it would be much harder. This one i am showing flat but many are not. So would i just display the terrain only and then convert to a symbol and have it on another layer?
-
I shrink my terrain so that in elevations i see the side of the terrain skirt in elevation, but in my perspective i have to enlarge terrain so it looks right. I thought i could have multiple terrains on different layers to achieve this but it does not allow this. Any thoughts on how best to achieve this?

I just close camera now and open up again and it works, kind of annoying, doesn't seem to happen all the time. I am quite happy with the pbr and have found great results once you set up lighting..here is a kitchen reno i am doing as part of a whole house reno/addition. Its great to have many lights..i have 36 lights turned on for this view

Will I be able to have multiple switch lines go to one switch symbol? in the case of the Dbl switch
-
So I can make multiple switch symbols that can have multiple switch lines attached? in some of the Reno’s I have done we had to use a special switch from legrand where they take their standard square switch and have one with two switches in the same space, so we had 2 Dbl switches and a single all in a 3 gang box. it gave us 5 switches. so if my symbols snapped together properly so that the square switches butt together I could then show some doubles with singles with some dimmers etc

The only thing is I would want them to snap at a certain way so I could just place 2-3-4 together also the switch and outlet symbols in plan are too big in my opinion, how to change this?
-
Thanks Mick. What about how chief places the switches together?
-
Hi I really like the Adorne outlets from Legrand, no screws, snap on face plates, square outlets and switches. I have made a sample switch, chief automatically snaps them together but can this be controlled? When there are two or more switches there is no space between switches or plugs. I do not like showing the old standard switches and plugs chief uses, i know you can turn off on a layer but if you want to show them they are old school, and even today decora is the standard...

Thanks guys, that did the trick...i have it set to 2" for inside renders so i dont cut lights and counters while doing 360 inside and close to island. -
I am doing a drive by and i am getting z fighting on the roof shingles. I have increased their thickness from 1/8 to 3/8 but still getting this issue, anyway to fix it?
-
Thanks...i did not realize it was the full camera preset.
