@GeneDavis I can't duplicate that behavior. I place a 24" default base unit in the plan (drawer at the top, door underneath), place the micro in the cabinet center, get 1-1/2" separation, 15-7/8" opening, 1-1/2" separation, 9-5/8" drawer, 1-1/2" separation, 4-1/2" toe kick. I place a 24" default base unit in the plan (drawer at the top, door underneath), modify the front to have a 13" high opening instead of the drawer, change the door below to a drawer, place the micro in the cabinet center, get 1-1/2" separation, 15-7/8" opening, 1-1/2" separation, 9-5/8" drawer, 1-1/2" separation, 4-1/2" toe kick. I changed the door below to an opening, then placed the micro and got the same layout as the other two examples. Changed the entire front of the cabinet to a blank area, placed the micro and got the same layout. Seems like it doesn't matter how the base unit is laid out, dropping the micro into the cabinet center gets me 15-7/8" with a drawer below

I have placed the micro unit in a base cabinet manually a number of times (before I discovered the Sharp catalog) but in that case it can't be inserted in the cabinet directly from the library. I had to place it in the plan, rework my base cabinet to create the appropriate opening and then move the micro into place by hand.

It is a 24" wide x 24" deep base cabinet, framed with 1-1/2" rails and stiles, full overlay doors/drawers with 3/8" reveal, 35-3/4" tall with countertop. I'm not sure the actual opening sizes and separations matter as I am not creating the opening for the micro before I drop it in there. For this example I just dropped a default base cabinet in the plan and then grabbed the Sharp unit out of the library and put it in there. As I mentioned, it left the top separation 1-1/2" wide so I reduced that to 3/8" for an even reveal. Perhaps you are getting the error because you are putting the opening in the unit manually before you put the micro in there?

I typically just create the opening in the cabinet and place the appliance in there manually. I can adjust separations and opening size to match the manufactures specs and ensure everything is going to fit when I place the cabinet order.

Thanks Rene, I actually had forgotten that I had placed a configuration tool in my toolbar that had the link so I got it back that way. I will keep this response, however, because there is going to be a point in the future when I will need it again...

I was in the middle of working on a plan and lost my custom toolbar configuration, everything went back to the Default configuration. Pretty sure there is a way to get it back by getting the program to look at the correct location (see image) but I can't figure out how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

	Awesome, thank you Robert!

I have a plan that was drawn with 2x6 exterior walls and I need to match existing conditions of 2x4 walls. Is there a way to move the main layer to the inside of the wall so that when I switch the walls I don't end up with 4" of additional space on the interior? In other words I want the 2" change to occur on the outside not on the inside.

There is a Reference Display Set or a Reference Display Layer Set that you will need to use to turn your layers on and off in the Reference Display.

Creating and snapping to an off-angle wallsteve_stuart replied to madcowscarnival's topic in General Q & A It is probably too late at this point but I have found that if I need to use off angle walls for a remodel/addition, it is way easier to align these walls with the grid and let the "as-built" portion of the plan be skewed. If you don't you will be fighting the angles through the entire process (dimensions, rotating objects, etc.)

I just downloaded the latest X16 update (26.2.0.52) and lost all my custom toolbars, is there an easy way to get them back without having to rebuild?

3D>CREATE ORTHOGRAPHIC VIEW>ORTHOGRAPHIC FLOOR OVERVIEW 3D>VIEW DIRECTION>TOP VIEW 3D>RENDERING TECHNIQUES>LINE DRAWING ...adjust the technique options to your liking. However, this only gets you part way there - there is no cut plane, so you won't see windows and doors. If you use the Delete Surfaces tool you can get rid of the ceiling and the tops of the walls to show the interior and windows/doors.

@kerhansen Is there an itinerary? I am trying to work out arrival and departure times, coming from the other side of the country. Thanks!

Was able to work through this with Tech Support, the update had the program looking for something it didn't have permissions to locate. Opened as administrator and was able to fix the issue.
-
It doesn't appear to be the result of anything I am doing, it just closes after about 45 seconds even if I don't open any files. Hopefully I can speak with someone soon, just figured I would check here to see if anyone else had the same issue.

Yes, reported this morning but they don't open for another couple of hours. No joy.

I just ran the latest update (Build 24.2.2.1) for X14 and now the program won't stay open for more than about 30 seconds, just completely shuts down. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just saw this, thanks very much Robert!

Use the diagonal radio button, just pull the fireplace out to where you want it. You can make other size adjustments in the dialog box.
-
Forgot to mention you will need to drag and drop the fireplace tool into one of your toolbars.
-
Ginger, you will need to add this tool to one of your toolbars. If you look at the first attached image you will see that you can select "customize toolbars" from your tools drop down menu. Once you select this you will see a drop down of all the tools available to you, the one you are looking for is "fireplace" (image 2). Good luck

If I am understanding what you want, you can set this up in your defaults. Or open the dimension default you are working with and change it temporarily.
