    hmmm, I think my layout file may be corrupted. I will check other default layouts in Chief's templates for the macros that should be on sheet 0. Thanks!

    I am trying to change the titles on layout pages but it is not working. Obviously user error. I am using Tools- layout- edit layout page information but nothing I am doing in that dbx is showing up. Just the text "sheet title" from page 0. I also cannot find the answer in the help information. What am I missing??

    I like having the option. IF you want them the same just set default plan that way. But I am sure you know that. Not sure what the beef is........

    you need a gable/roof line. It is in the build roof dialogue box. select it and drag then line over the roof edge where you want it and rebuild roofs.

    I have had crashes on both X5 and X6 while ray tracing and then trying to carry on with other work. I am assuming my computer just isn't up to the task. I have a new one on it's way. I better not get crashes now!!!!!!!!!!!!

    IF you drag and drop into plan Fixture is the default setting. You have to use the import process and as part of that there is an option to use the full import process (something like that) select that and you will get additional screens where you can set the type of item it is.

    The pinheads in government don't care about costs. They have a money machine! (us) Why does there have to be constant code changes? These guys meet more than the original Congress of the US. Pretty soon we will have the safest most energy efficient homes that few can afford!!

    Electro - New homes in some communities in my area of PA (suburban Philly) require sprinklers. And cause a lot of headaches for some homeowners as well.

    I deleted the window and copied one of the basement windows into that place and resized it and it framed through. When I tried to move the wall for the sump closet closer in I lost the frame through. Not sure why. I guess there is a minimum distance you have to be from a corner or wall angle to have the frame through work? I know I can put a pass through in but wanted to do it automatically.

    I have some basement windows that frame through automatically but one larger egress one that does not. Anyone know how to make it frame through?

    Beth - haven't had that....yet. Yesterday I lost my user catalogue. Closed and reopened Chief and it was back. I, on occasion have funny things happen with the library. It disappears and I have to click the icon to get it back. (X5 & X6) I would suggest closing and restarting CA and see if that helps.

    tiles have patterns. IF the pattern lines don't get set where you want use the offset portion of the materials dialogue box to offset the height and width. IF you have the tile in different areas give the tile a new name and set offsets for that newly named tile so it works in the other location. Each time the tile appears in a new location you have to give the tile a new name and offsets. Same for textures.(rendered image)

    Joe - I also use mostly 6 panel doors. I think half open is as good as any other option. Besides we can always change to origin as you pointed out previously. Very generous of you to do this.
