Scott - changed the height while I was waiting for a reply but got problems in other areas. Terrains are VERY frustrating!!! Let me poke around some more. THought I had fixed the garage but must have been in another version.

I am working on a plan for exterior presentation for another remodeler and am having trouble with the driveway relative to the terrain. I cannot get the circular section to join with the lower section. Can someone have a look? Also drive is floating above terrain and changes to it react badly elsewhere. ;o( https://www.dropbox.com/s/3gzr35jguqlseep/Combs.zip?dl=0 Thanks!

Catalog of library symbols, images, etc. ??
Dennis_Gavin replied to usingchief's topic in General Q & A
you can create and arrange folders in the user catalogue any way you want. Can't you just do what you want there? -
just click on the window that you want to change and hit tab key.

nice job!

Looks great Steve, The only thing I would do is adjust the shrubbery slightly so they are not all exact copies, Also, either find a new grass material or maybe try increasing the size of the one you are using.

Oops, actually enhanced lighting does need to be checked. Did not seem to have any affect yesterday but came back to the office to a computer restart, toggled enhanced lighting and now all seems OK. Weird.

very nice!

checked the settings and all seems correct. The first time I had this problem it was caused by having enhances lighting checked. Don't know what is causing it now.

sounds like you've got it. Click on the object then right click to get options. IT has to be a component to be saved as a separate item. Or delete what you don't want and save as....THen import into CHief in normal manner

8 LIGHT LIMIT IN STD RENDER VIEW IS A VIDEO CARD THING, NOT cHIEF. fEW CARDS SUPPORT MOR THAN 8

for Sketchup files usually better opening them in the free version of SU and editing them their. THey are a bunch of parts there whereas when imported into chief they become one item. Often the parts in SU need to be exploded to reduce them to smaller sections or parts. You can also make parts in Chief using polyline solids.

Looking good Michael. One suggestion is to make the corner porch post white. My .02

Thanks Jason - never know who it might help!

Much better. I would still take the lighting down a little more though and adjust offsets for the pendants or maybe even turn them off, Crank up the emissive setting for their glass.(makes them look on) Might put one 3D point light in in place of several pendants. It is a trial and error thing.

Do you have X9 ? They have included bump and normal maps with the new libraries. Haven't looked into them yet personally.
