buzzsaw204
hi, i drawn the Step Landing (Porch) Room with the Invisble wall. if you turn off the Invisible Wall layer, there no room definition. how can i show that Room in plan view with some kind for single line? with having draw in using the CAD Line
Alaskan_Son
I think the closest you can get in an instance like that would be to open those invisible walls and change the thickness to 1/16".

ALL the Room Divider with invisble would show in Plan.
Alaskan_Son
Just put those walls on their own layer.
Alaskan_Son
By the way, you shouldn't lose your room definition simply by turning off those invisible walls. I think you might be mistaken. It works for me. You could also just do that and draw a polyline around that room if you wanted.

Solution Alaskan_Son Posted March 10, 2016 Solution Share Posted March 10, 2016 Putting those walls on their own layer is probably your best bet then in my opinion.

DRAWZILLA
I would use a post to beam , railing wall, for that, you will have a header there wouldn't you ?
DMDesigns
My 2 cents - i'd just select room & make room a polyline, one click and done!

buzzsaw204
just off topic, but another question about Invisible Wall type vs. Room Divider Wall Type why is that the Room Divider Wall Type (single line) keep automatically changing the a Interior 3 1/2" Wall (invisible double line)
Alaskan_Son
I won't claim to understand this issue all that well as I haven't studied it much so I could be wrong, but I believe that happens in any situation where the new room definition requires any kind of structural change. I believe the only place a zero width room divider really works is where all you want to change is the finish flooring.
