Adding Skylights To The Window Schedule

Does anyone know how to have the skylights show up in the window schedule?

I don't think there's any way of having this happen automatically.  Only thing I can think of is this...

 

1.  Create a custom window symbol with the appropriate sizing, description, etc.  and add it to your user library.

2.  Draw a wall off to the side of your plan somewhere and drop your custom window symbol into it.

3.  Drag the label over to your actual skylight. 

 

Just an idea.

You can't just put a window in a plan - it has to be inserted in a wall.

 

I really think there should be a "Roof Accessories Schedule".

As Joe said...because you can't just drop a window into the plan. It has to be inserted into a wall.

I draw a wall away from the  house put a 2x window and specify the label sky light it will show in the  schedule  i am sure other have a better way of doing this

Yes, click in the window schedule. Under "Categories to Include", scroll to Window, click on the carrot/ arrow for the drop down menu and check Skylights.

I think skylights and roof holes were added to schedules back in X13 or X14.  So while you couldn't add them automatically in 2016, you can now.
