zowie123
Hi, I'm building a decorative hood and need to turn a crown molding up side down for one of the parts--the wide part of a flared molding is on the bottom. I've not had to do this before and can't figure out a way. Soffits don't invert, and I can't seem to flip a molding polyline, but maybe I'm missing something. I guess I can draw an upside down profile, but was wondering if there's an easier way? Thank you all, Barry
DRAWZILLA
I think you have to draw a new profile by just flipping the existing one.
Greg_NY61
The way I do it, I would go into your molding folder in the Library- select the molding you want to use> right click on it > Select> Place Molding Profile... and click on the screen... That will put your molding profile on the screen and you can do whatever you like with it. In your case spin the molding around and use Transform/Replicate and use Reflect Horizontally. I hope it helps.

DRAWZILLA
Good, I assumed you knew the process. Sometimes I assume too much.
Rosco2017
We use this in almost all of our builds (We do a lot of high end homes) I did exactly what Perry and Greg described. The "trimming" part of my plan seems to take the longest because my builder goes buck-wild with it... LOL See some examples below. Some of this gets a little time consuming! Rosco2017
I noticed that some of the photos came in upside down or on their side... How in the heck did that happen?! Sorry about that guys!
Dennis_Gavin
Must have been a carry over from flipping the molding profile! 'o)
