IRDesign
Every single time that I go back into my layout file my arrows have gone nuts. I have fixed this and saved 3 or 4 times now! What is going on? I have X17 for reference. Any advice would be appreciated.
JonathanK
Are they custom arrow heads or something?
DBCooper
Did you draw them in the layout or in the plan? Generally, I like to draw all my notations in the plan and not in the layout. I am guessing that you drew them in the layout. Maybe your arrows are snapping to things, like the side of the layout box or something else on the layout that you don't want them to. You could try opening them up and turning off "attach heads to other objects" and "attach tails to other objects". That should prevent them from snapping to anything else and moving around. If that doesn't help, you might need to post your plan and layout.
IRDesign
No, they are drawn in the plan. it is so weird. they are saved and then the next time I open the plan the arrow has moved. This is also happening with my dimensions to TP holders and towel bars. It seems to only be those items!! The disappear entirely.
PitMan71
Send this in to support. Seems that I had issues with arrow leaders in X17. Are the leaders curved? If so how did you curve them?
ValleyGuy
6 hours ago, PitMan71 said: Are the leaders curved? If so how did you curve them? I just draw the arrow, high lite it, grab the head with a RH click and hold to bend it around, then let go.
PitMan71
Yep. When you use that method it creates issues... Its an apparent bug that wasn't fixed in X17 that i am aware and only happens in cross section/elevation views.... Not even sure if its fixed in X18 since i havent drawn curved leaders in X18 in an elevation view. Work around... Draw first line and then second then fillet the two. Dermot
@PitMan71 The problem that you sent to tech support back in March regarding curved leader lines in elevation views should be fixed in X18. If you continue to see any problems, then please contact tech support again. @IRDesign I don't have enough information to make any guesses about the problems you are seeing. If you are using the most current version of X18, then I recommend that you contact our technical support team to report this problem. If you are not using X18, then I recommend you upgrade to the current version.
