Hi  

 

I built three houses next to each other ,  they will be on a sloped terrain but when I created the sloped terrain the houses do not follow the slope.  they look like they are floating How do I make adjustments

I think it better to raise the terrain.

 

Have you drawn your houses on the same level?

I assume that you have drawn them on different levels.

Open the Terrain Specification dbx and go to General page.

Check Auto Build Terrain.

Uncheck Automatic.

Look this up in the help file and then have a play with entering different values (including negative values) for Subfloor Height Above Terrain.

If the terrain is sloped, then the main floor level needs to be lowered to keep it in relation to the grade.  That's what I meant by lowering the floors. Adjust the subfloor levels in the negative direction to where it needs to be

I would suggest you draw your houses in 3 separate plan files and then reference them to each other, that way you can draw all houses at a subfloor 0

I understand drawing houses in 3 separate plan files but where can I find info on how to reference them

one way...create symbols out of two of the houses, and then place them on the third plan file. Or create a plan file with no house and put all three symbols in it
