How to put a face frame surround on an opening in a cabinet

See the pic.  The cabinet at center of this vanity run has a drawer at top and under is an opening with two shelves.  I want to dress the opening with a 1.25" frame surround, to bring the face out flush to the surrounding fronts.  You can see the door object I made for this in the side panel.  How is this done?

You didnt need to create a custom door, you could instead use a framed glass panel door and change the glass material to a classification of air gap, such as insulation air gap.
Regardless, to answer your question. Change that from an opening to a right or left door and apply your custom door. Let me know if you need more specific instructions

Hey!  Thanks for the look @Renerabbitt.  I feel honored that the CA king of cabinets entered the room.

 

I put my open-center door on the cab as a door panel, but did not try putting it on as a hinged door.  Doing it as a hinged door gives me the shelves I need, but how do I get rid of the opening indicator in the 2D elevation?

You can turn off the opening indicators for the whole cabinet which should work in your case.

An alternative would be -

1. split opening vertical, change item types and sizes
2. split horizontal, change items types and sizes

No need to change indicators though it takes a bit longer the first time but leaves a lot more control to alter if using in the future. Even faster just using the attached Style Palette.

I used a renamed slab to make adjustments easier.
