KilianDrafting
In X16 when hovering over an opened tab, it just gave the drawing name and title of the view. In X17 it gives the full file path name, with no information about what the view is. With multiple projects opened and different views for each it makes it really difficult to find which tab I am looking for. Is there a setting to change this? They made another (unrequested?) change to the project browser I don't like; in X16 an open Saved Plan View displayed "open" in place of the icon, now it shows the icon with a tiny checkmark, which makes it harder to see which ones are open and which are closed. Why?? With Chief, it seems like every upgrade comes with some downgrades. I don't recall either of these changes - or the new project management system for that matter - being requested online. But so many requests - for years - for things that would actually improve workflow seem to go ignored. Oh well...
CharlesVolz
Interesting... After opening 3 or 4 tabs, I resort to the Project Browser to navigate.
para-CAD
I open the layout and whatever sheet I need to complete work on, I double click that viewport and it takes me to the proper saved Plainview. Once I’m complete with that I close that tab and go back to layout to work on another sheet. I’ve never worked in programming so I can only imagine how complicated and how much risk exposure happens every time you modify the code to do one thing it may end up breaking several other things. I still think chief is probably the best construction document creator that I’ve experienced so far.
