Japyhala0
In x17 it keeps framing my roof at 24" on center even when I have framing defaults set to 16". Does anyone have any suggestions?
GeneDavis
Screencaps would be nice. Go to Edit > Default Settings > Walls > Exterior Walls and select Exterior Walls, then Wall Types, Define, and click on the main layer which should be the framing layer. Show us the screen. Your stud spacings should be set to 24". Now to to the plan that is misbehaving, select an exterior wall that you know framed instead at 16" centers, open the wall, its wall def, select the framing layer, and show us what the screen is displaying. DBCooper Posted yesterday at 05:09 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:09 AM My guess is that when you changed it in your framing defaults, or roof defaults since I think these will do the same thing, you already had roof planes in your plan and you don't have auto rebuild turned on. You would then need to either rebuild the roof or change it in all of your roof planes instead. Try using the "edit all roof planes" tool and see if that gives you what you want. If not, then you might want to post your plan.
Japyhala0
It turned out that I had to click on each roof plane themselves and set the defaults rather than just set framing defaults.

Change your roof framing defaults at a plan level not individually. Once you make a change to the individual planes they will not dynamically change with the defaults because the user has inputted that they want something different than the default.
