I rotated a plan 180 and how do I reset front, left, etc. Also how do I reset Y axis to up in plan view.

I used Tools > Rotate Plan View and my elevation callouts (Front Elevation, Left Elevation, etc.) are wrong for me now, and my Y axis is plus down and not plus up.

It did what it was designed to do. Go to the KB and type Rotate read up on it. You will need to use a different tool.

Ah. One of my favourite "gotcha" moments.

Use that tool with caution, as it doesn't do what you are expecting - as you have discovered.

It rotates the drawing sheet itself (and most things on it) - it doesn't rotate the drawing on the drawing sheet.

You need to set Rotate Plan View back to zero and use Edit Area instead.

Look up Rotate Plan View.

OK, @jorgearaya, if that is what it is designed to do, but fails with respect to getting results I need, and no way to fix, what is that different tool?  Or more but not to the point, then, what is this Rotate Plan tool designed to do?  What is it's purpose?  If Edit > Edit Area is the right approach (I've used it before), why this thing?

 

I solved my dilemma using Edit > Edit Area.  And edited truss did not survive the rotation and I had to re-do it, but that was all.

I have used this tool while designing plans with different wings of the plans at different angles...I'll 'temporarily' rotate the 'view' (not the plan) to the angle I'm working on so that it is straight on my screen and easier on my brain and faster to work on, then switch to another angle to work on, etc.  But it is a 'temp' tool and is helpful in specific circumstances and I set it back to zero as soon as I'm done using it.  Hope that helps.

Gene, I have a couple of plans like that.  I rename the cameras and just remember the orientation is reversed when inputting or offset copy, move

 

It generally happens when I design a home across the street from another I previously built.
