Floor / Roof Structure - Blank Void

Hello,

Wondering if anyone would have any idea of why my floor / roof structure isn't showing in the 3D view / why the exterior classing isn't covering it.

I have never had this happen before. I'm not sure if it's because of the wall type I had to make for this project? See attached image / plan file.

Thanks in advance!

You have your walls defined wrong open wall with window in it go to wall types move layer 1 to exterior layers by selecting layer 1 and click on move up

Hi Mark - thank you for your response. How do I keep the exterior surface where I "snap onto" when moving the wall etc? The little "node" moved to that layer now if that makes sense.

Here are a couple of other things that might help.

First, go into your general wall defaults and set the "resize about" to "outer surface".   Doing this will make it so that when you modify the wall type definition that they will stay where you have drawn them.

Next, open up the wall type dialog for your "siding-6 - existing farmhouse" and move the stone so that it will be your exterior layer instead of in your main layer.  This should fix your gap problem.  The floor/ceiling platforms will build to the outside of your main layer which is why you have a gap.  You might also consider a different naming style since there is no siding in this wall type.

While still in the wall type dialog, go to the "wall properties" page and set the dimension layer to be the stone layer instead of the framing layer.  This should fix the problem with your dimensions going to the framing instead of the stone exterior like you wanted.

That vertical clad wall gap is the same problem move that wall layer to exterior section of the wall it does mess your wall positions you just need to fix wall positions, then if you have more gaps upload your current plan to see if someone can fix advise to get you going
