Good morning,
Maybe a nit-pick, but when I wire up my sconce to a light switch, the auto-wiring goes to the face of the wall sconce globe and not to center of the base, which I would prefer. So, I wind up manually adjusting the arc segment.
My question is what controls/defines the snap points of the electrical wiring tool? Is this something defined in the fixture block?
Default:
My preference:
Thanks again,
Jim

Hello everyone,
having an issue getting x14 to report the information my estimator is asking for. we primarily focus on remodels, therefore a vast majority of our projects require demo work. we stick estimate and account for sf, lf, area, and each of items for removal. In a lot of cases this is not a across the board or entire area basis or even within complete room. My team has been inquiring if the program has the arability to produce a schedule i can put on layout so they don't have to physically do the calcs for the area of drywall being removed then reinstalled. i understand i have to run a material list to have the program run the total. i have figured out how to get the program to total Base, Casing, Flooring, Ceiling area, electrical and plumbing fixtures. im wanting to see if there is some way i can set this up to pull with the ease of a schedule without having to go in and create a material list for each room involved write down the area from that then say create a room list for every program. thining there might be a macro or some way to achieve this in a custom schedule and have ran into a wall every way ive tried to run it or set it up. i will attach the current project im working on for reference. the rooms im looking to complete said schedule or report are listed in the room area schedule to the right of the 1st floor plan23-6416-Newton-Existing.plan

For those of you that perform electrical load calculations or panel schedules for the electrical service on your projects, what resources have been helpful to you? Have you created any templates or worksheets for yourself to make this an easier process? Would you be interested in having a template in chief architect that another user has made?
I'm curious who would be interested in sharing tips/tricks or anything that could be shared to used in chief architect. I have some things I've developed for my own use but not sure if others would find this useful or how many users incorporate this into their plans and services.
Here's a few links I found really helpful:

On a 2-story house, I display all roof planes on one floor (typically the first floor) for the roof view plan. But for the electrical plan, I'd like to show the second floor roof on the second floor so I can indicate where the soffit lighting is. Can I have a roof plan that shows all roof planes and also show the roof planes separately on the electrical plan? If so, how?

Creating a Header schedule I select one row & click the "Find Object in Plan" which takes me to the wall frame view instead of the plan view.
Do I have a setting off or is this normal?
