Move kitchen island

Is there a way I can move an entire island .5" from the main cabinet wall in a kitchen without moving every individual component?

1. Set snaps to 1/2"
2. Group select Island Components  ( A.Block if desired ) ( use marquee select or use Ctrl Key)
3. Bump over with Arrow Keys as needed

Great advice from Mick - Alternate - 2. as above, move components in desired direction. While holding down the left mouse button, hit the tab key and enter desired 'X' and/or 'Y' distances.

I think the goal is to move it 1/2" farther away from the cabinets that are on the wall (i.e. currently at 41.5" and wants to move the island to 42" or something.)

One easy way of moving a group of objects an exact distance:

 

1. Group select all of the objects.

2. Use Transform/Replicate dialog to move them in the desired direction.
