Library Icon Select Problem.

This is a weird one.

If I select a lib item from the icon view, insert it, quit the command, I can not select it again from the icon.

I'm sure the video will explain it better.

I use the ESC key = [Select Objects] to cancel out of the place LIb command.

Alan,

I am not sure what you mean by this.

Esc is usually a shortcut to Cancel Selection/Previous Command - not Select Objects.

ESC does default to Selection mode when it has cycled through all the history of commands which makes it look like it is a select tool if you only have one command in the command history list and press ESC once.

Or, if you have more that one command in the command history list, repeatedly hitting ESC will cycle back through the command history list.

Have you changed any of the keyboard shortcuts lately?

Have you closed and reopened Chief?

Don't use the SPACE BAR

Oh I missed you had changed your Hotkey from default , but If you want to place multiple hangers I see no reason to hit space , you should be able to keep clicking for multiple placements.

I can however reproduce the Issue once I hit space ( in my case for select ) the library item is not clickable again, unless you click another item 1st and comeback to your 1st choice.

I am running into this.  If I select a different icon and then select the one I am using again it works.

That was the recommendation from tech support until they fix it.

Good advice from Michael, the squeaky wheel as they say.
