In my plan, in one room there is a room label without any room dimension. Is there a way to find out where is it and why it is generating without any room dimension? (screen shot attached)

Maybe try creating a Room Schedule and use find in plan or check that three way wall intersection with the two different wall types.  Invisible room divider ? Island room ?

Short of that....   Post the plan and let one of the experts play.

Just a guess without the plan, but I'm thinking you probably have a room defined right here....

Or, you had this defined as a bedroom, deleted a section of wall where it was no longer a room.. but the label stayed. (has happened to me).  The when you created the room again, a new label came in.  Delete both labels, and check that room DBX.  The other way is they way Chop explained.  Create a room schedule, and find it via that.

Your problem areas are right where I showed.  You have little tiny rooms generating between those walls.  There are a few potential solutions but I would suggest in particular that you read up on the Furred Wall setting.

By the way, that little zero area room can be any number of shapes and can be hard to fish down because not only can it be connected to any number of surrounding rooms but it can also get its name from any one of the connected rooms.  This is where your particular problem room is being generating and its simply getting its name from the adjacent bedroom in the corner...

That one isn't the only problem your in your plan though. You have another one over on the left side, it just has the room label suppressed. Plus you have a 3rd one that is being considered part of another room.Try moving the indicated wall down, select the resulting room, and notice how its shaped...

Thank you all for your comments and tips. I will combine them. In reality the foundation wall is built and that basement area is being converted into a living space, hence the stud wall added. Concrete foundation wall is the as built condition. Thanks again.

When I open a plan in X12 that was created in an earlier version of CA, the layer "ceiling break lines" does not appear.
I believe that layer was not available in versions prior to X12. Which was always an annoyance to me because they couldn't be turned off.
I assumed that all the functionality of the latest version would be available in the plan once it was saved in that version?
      Am I wrong on that?

The other thing that i've noticed is that "new" Room Labels that are in the drop down list as supplied with X12 also do not appear in plan saved in X12 that was created in an earlier version?

      Hello All,

My room label text is offset from the room label box. This is driving my nuts, as I often move the room labels around and with the offset, I never know where I need to grab or I end up grabbing the wrong room label.

      Example image attached.

Below the room labels Chief has a string of text showing the room size.
Is there a way to have Chief show the rooms ceiling height instead of the rooms dimensions ?

      Thanks,

      Hi All,
I am working on townhomes that are exactly the same on both sides. I need the room dimension labels to be the same on my "advertising" plans or people will get confused and wonder why they are different. The actual dimensions are exactly the same, but I don't want to show people all the dimension lines for advertising. As you can see in the attached, both living rooms are actually 13' 10-1/2" X 16' 9-1/2". The room labels are rounding to 16'8" on one side and 16'-9" on the other side. I don't care if it rounds up or down, but I do need it to be the same on both sides. Does anybody know how to fix this? I am working in X5.

      Thanks!

      Hi

Its so difficult to find. I want to add room labels so that I can see total wall area, perimeter, and floor area of each room.

searching in help gives 0 hits on the word "label".

How do I add this? I have tried tools-layer settings-display options.. Nothing happens with my drawing!!

would love to fix this today. see attachment

      regards,
      sebastian
