I am trying to create a story and a half main house that has a two story gable roof addition. I have been able to create the story and a half with a 1 story addition but can't figure out how to add a second story to the addition. The main part of the house has a 10/12 roof (created by build roof options: move roof up 12', ignore 2nd floor). The goal is to have the main roof 10/12 and the 2 story addition a 6/12 gable.
Pics below are a quick mockup. One showing the successful story and a half w addition. The other a bit more unusual configuration that I may not be able to get past the building inspector.
Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Hello there!
I'm new to chief as of a few weeks ago. I'm really loving how in-depth you can get with it. Hopefully this isn't to much of a newbie question that is easily answered somewhere else but I have seen anything on it. I'm trying to attach a shed roof to a gable. I have a feeling this is something similar to a porch roof, but after messing with it for a few hours I cant figure it out.
This is what I'm go
Here is where I'm at.
I've attached my plan if that helps!
I'm using x12
Thanks!

Hi
Normally I don't have too many issues with roofs unless they are complicated. This one looks simple .. but I can't seem to get the straight across area for the roof indent. I can have teh roof with gable but not as it looks in the picture--- as you can see by the one with the X this is what I end up with and the other is how it should look.. Any suggestions.. I tried adding another floor and reducing the height but then the roof was too high
You're imput is always welcome
Thanks

Issue in X12 when using break tool to adjust wall for an extension over a column.
Bare wall end fir stud and overhead framing stud can be seen in wall section instead of drywall.
See attached file/pic.
I do not believe soffit is viable solution as I am seeing that soffits will not frame.
So framing is important.

Many thanks to Solver as he addressed this issue and resolved it for my needs by applying different wall types to the wall area drawing. I posted my original files as reference and Solver's solution file (1868954996_MHD_sampletemplateplanSolutionWallEnds).
And the solution frames out too as can be seen in file with camera Perspective Floor & Perspective Framing views.
