Adding a center rail to a cabinet door

Hi all, 

 

Chief Architect V12 Premier 

 

Most cabinet manufacturers along with custom cabinet makers will not make a cabinet door over a certain height without adding a center rail. I am looking for a way to add a center rail to a cabinet door. Additionally I would also like the option if I did this to an upper cabinet door over a certain height that I can make the upper portion glass.

Simple double door use one from the library (chief has a double door library) the one with the top only being glass would be a custom door.

Custom door needed for either way, whether one panel glazed or both solid.

 

You'll use one or two sets of horizontal stretch planes, depending on the result you want.

 

Write a suggestion for Chief to add this option.  Chief seems to like cabinet stuff, and you might get it for 2022.

Not for the double panel solid unless one of these doesn't meet your needs.

I updated the plan file I posted over here for making cabinet door symbols

Added a double and the parts, took 10-15 minutes. Once you have a small collection of wainscot panels and framing bead profiles doors are a snap.
