Gutters and floor system

Recommended Posts

How can I edit my roof to remove gutters without rebuilding it. Also, I can't set my floor system depth correctly without dropping floor level. Is there a way to lock my main level floor and basement. The buttons in the structure aren't locking them like I thought they would.

Lock the floor top.

You will need to explain more about what's not working and exactly what you are trying to do.

In general, it's best to set up your defaults correctly before drawing, then change things that don't follow the norm.

Look into Templates if you are changing, or will change the same things for every plan.

Ok, I need to really find the best videos for these things. There's so many and I don't have the time right now to watch several especially when they're not completely answering my questions.

Gutters are on their own layer.  It's locked by default but you can turn unlock that layer and edit as desired - or just turn the layer off for display.  The gutters are essentially a 3D Molding Polyline and once the layer is unlocked they can be modified just like any other 3D Molding Polyline.

Take the time you spent posting your question and followup here.

Select a roof plane.  Open it's spec dialog.  Go through it, page by page, and examine all the things you can edit.

Take your time.  Try making changes.  You can undo any change.

You'll find out about gutters this way, and a whole lot more.
