MNorbert
Hi, I try to recreate this hand drawn plan. There are some tricky parts which I dont find the best solution for. 1. the pillars highlighted with light blue circles in the attached jpg. These pillars are "within" the walls. What is the best way to create it in Chief Architect Premier X8? 2. highlighted with orange, you can see there are walls with different thinckness "attached" together. What is the best way to create these? Thanks ahead
joey_martin
Break the wall and set the thickness.
Chopsaw
You could just modify a piece of the wall framing to represent the pillars, snap a polyline over top if you need hatching rather than a cross box.
DzinEye
For the Blue Circles ...I would just use solids.
Gawdzira
Joey has the correct answer for the drafting. It depends on the goal. If it is to get the drafted look, then Joey has the fastest solution. If you are trying to get an accurate representation of how to build this and a complete materials take off to order from, then you would need to take a chill pill and still do it the way Joey suggested.
