StepOneDesign
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to copy items from one plan to another to save some time? For instance with a cabinet run or combination I like to use all the time (for example in a laundry room)

Chopsaw
Paste Hold Position is quite handy as well.
Electromen
I built a fireplace with a TV above the mantle to match a local company's work. I blocked it and save it to the Library. Is that what you're looking for?
StepOneDesign
It's a little strange. CA allowed me to select a whole island and copy and paste it to an entirely different plan (project), but now it's not allowing me do it.
StepOneDesign
Yes, no problem. I, unfortunately, like to do things the most difficulty way possible in Chief. Still after 4 years of using it. Sadly have just learnt on the fly and have missed learning alot of shortcuts. Now I have to break all my bad habits!
StepOneDesign
Honestly I never knew that I was able to make blocks of items and save them to library - always have used it strictly for materials saving etc. (thus my comments on lack of knowledge re shortcuts) Its one of those things that I don't make time for watching videos (read directions) and just dive right in. Oh, and that little thing of being too busy. Totally my own fault. In this case, I had another full plan open and tried to select all and copy to another completely different plan. As mentioned, it did it a couple of times (copy and paste), and then nothing. However I will use add to Library. There are typical cabinet runs/combinations that I favor as do my clients, so I am sure I will make this quite useful! Thanks solver, really appreciate you answering my dumb question! Thanks also Electromen and Chopsaw for your kind responses also.
Alaskan_Son
If you truly did Select All then you may have also selected something that was ineligible for copying and pasting. I don't know...just a thought.
