Not a valid measurement error message

Recommended Posts

Trying to raise a floor beam flush with the top of the joists, and no matter which measurement I try to change, I get an error message. Any suggestions? Using X10 on a Mac.

You may want to post the plan file, and add a note showing which beam you want to raise.

perhaps if you entered a positive number it is refusing to do it ? since the other numbers are negative but Eric is right best to post the plan for quick answers like this.

I have had this happen as part of an ongoing problem i am having with Chief.

What do you see if you go Preferences>General>Unit Conversions after seeing this message?

Do you get the same error message when entering a distance into any dbx?

What happens when you draw a dimension and/or what happens to existing dimensions?

I suggest that you keep the Chief session open to help with trouble shooting.

But, does closing the existing plan and opening a new plan result in the same behavior?

Does the problem resolve with a new chief session?
